Her Name Was Celebration

irresistible me hair extensions clip in royal remy jet black 22" 200 grams weight length color

Bah. Sorry for the long leave of absence. There have been a couple of reasons why I have gone MIA:

1. It is almost time for me to move back to college in a couple of days. So that means that I have been super busy attempting to pack (or if you follow me on twitter… packing my clothes aka trying on all of my clothes aka ending up dancing around my room in only my underwear and a Color Run sweat band.)

2. This is my 100th post! Yay! Except I wanted to do something fun with my 100th post. Except I didn’t know what to do. And I kept putting this post off because I didn’t want to do something ordinary. But then it hit me. Like duhhh. A couple of weeks ago, this hair extension company called Irresistible Me contacted me and asked me of I wanted to try and promote their hair extensions. And since this is my first sponsored post, I’m hitting two awesome milestones!

My knowledge about hair extensions is pretty limited.  So when I was contacted by Irresistible Me, I was definitely happy to learn more about them. I just didn’t know the first thing about them. But thankfully, the person I talked to, Madison, was absolutely the best on informing me about how to pick out your extensions. She explained to me about the lengths and corresponding weights (“The basic rule with hair extensions is – the longer the hair, the bigger the weight should be selected” ~Madison.) And she sent me a link to a video (Check out the video here!)to help me pick out which color. In the end, I got Royal Remy, 22″ length (because I’ve always wanted to have Rapunzel hair), 200 gram weight in Jet Black.

My hair extensions were shipped in this cute little black box. Within the box, the extensions were held in a zip-locked bag. One side was the tester hair clips. This side gave you a sample of what the length and color would be. If it matched and you liked it, you could open the rest of the hair extensions. If it didn’t, you just could send it back! Each set comes with 1 Four-Clip piece (7.5″ wide), 2 Three-Clip pieces (6″), 5 Two-Clip pieces (4″), and 2 One-Clip pieces (1.2″).

Like I said before, my knowledge is very slim on hair extensions. So I made an appointment with my hair stylist, Erin, to help me put them in. When she pulled out the Four-Clip piece from the top, the first thing she said was “These are amazing!” So Irresistible Me is hair stylist approved. And let me tell you that when it comes to hair, Erin’s word is golden. Erin was so impressed with the extensions that she is going to (if not already) get some for herself! Anyway, she helped me put them in and since I have my tips dyed, she showed me how to style my hair by tying a bun at the top! And here is the final touches (a couple weeks later because I deleted the photos we took at the hair salon)!

What are your thoughts on hair extensions? Have you ever worn clip-in extensions before? Thoughtful, inspiring, or helpful comments might get tweeted on my twitter account -OR- you can tweet your own answer @oliviamonopoli and using the hashtag #FaBComments [Fashion Blogger Comments] (Feel free to use the convenient Twitter widget on my sidebar!)

xoxo Olivia

i, too, have limited knowledge of hair extensions. the only experience i saw with hair extension is sitting behind a girl with really bad ones and just staring at them like whaaat? why? but these look cool. i’ll keep them in mind for the future because i’m always torn between wanting to grow out my hair or choppin it off

Yay, congrats on the two milestones, Olivia! You look so good with those hair extensions?! I’ve actually been wanting to use extensions for high and lowlighting because my hair is pretty long already. I may have to check our Irresistible Me, now!

Good luck on the packing and moving! <3

Congratulations on your 100th post and your first sponsored post – both are so exciting! Love the hair extensions – you totally look like Rapunzel! I’ve never tried the clip-in extensions before… I think my hair is too fine to pull them off. I have had good luck with tape in extensions, though!

Best of luck back at college. :)

I love that hairstyle! I cut my hair recently and have been missing the length, but I’m not sure I would be able to figure out how to put hair extensions in. It’s weird, but where I go to school, there almost seems to be a negative stigma with using extensions – similar to getting a nose or boob job.

I hope moving back to school will be smooth for you! Here’s to another 9 months until summer (:

The long hair looks great on you. I have never tried extensions but consider them a terrific way to change-up a woman’s hairstyle.

I loved the pictures and I liked your hair extensions! I never had it, because my hair goes up to my waist, but if I had short hair I think I would change a bit sometimes, with hair extensions! I hope you have a nice start of college!

These look great on you! I used to wear them a few years ago, I was actually pretty obsessed with them too but haven’t felt a need to turn to them since. Might need to change that.

Huge congrats, Olivia! Your first sponsored post and your 100th is a big milestone. I know very little about hair extensions, but I can say for sure that these look pretty natural–I can’t even tell where your hair ends and the extensions begin.

Wishing you only the best as a transfer student this year! I know you’ll rock it :)
