Bah. Sorry for the long leave of absence. There have been a couple of reasons why I have gone MIA:
1. It is almost time for me to move back to college in a couple of days. So that means that I have been super busy attempting to pack (or if you follow me on twitter… packing my clothes aka trying on all of my clothes aka ending up dancing around my room in only my underwear and a Color Run sweat band.)
2. This is my 100th post! Yay! Except I wanted to do something fun with my 100th post. Except I didn’t know what to do. And I kept putting this post off because I didn’t want to do something ordinary. But then it hit me. Like duhhh. A couple of weeks ago, this hair extension company called Irresistible Me contacted me and asked me of I wanted to try and promote their hair extensions. And since this is my first sponsored post, I’m hitting two awesome milestones!
My knowledge about hair extensions is pretty limited. So when I was contacted by Irresistible Me, I was definitely happy to learn more about them. I just didn’t know the first thing about them. But thankfully, the person I talked to, Madison, was absolutely the best on informing me about how to pick out your extensions. She explained to me about the lengths and corresponding weights (“The basic rule with hair extensions is – the longer the hair, the bigger the weight should be selected” ~Madison.) And she sent me a link to a video (Check out the video here!)to help me pick out which color. In the end, I got Royal Remy, 22″ length (because I’ve always wanted to have Rapunzel hair), 200 gram weight in Jet Black.
My hair extensions were shipped in this cute little black box. Within the box, the extensions were held in a zip-locked bag. One side was the tester hair clips. This side gave you a sample of what the length and color would be. If it matched and you liked it, you could open the rest of the hair extensions. If it didn’t, you just could send it back! Each set comes with 1 Four-Clip piece (7.5″ wide), 2 Three-Clip pieces (6″), 5 Two-Clip pieces (4″), and 2 One-Clip pieces (1.2″).
Like I said before, my knowledge is very slim on hair extensions. So I made an appointment with my hair stylist, Erin, to help me put them in. When she pulled out the Four-Clip piece from the top, the first thing she said was “These are amazing!” So Irresistible Me is hair stylist approved. And let me tell you that when it comes to hair, Erin’s word is golden. Erin was so impressed with the extensions that she is going to (if not already) get some for herself! Anyway, she helped me put them in and since I have my tips dyed, she showed me how to style my hair by tying a bun at the top! And here is the final touches (a couple weeks later because I deleted the photos we took at the hair salon)!
